Quick & Easy Ways to Get Five-a-Day
  • Add salad to all your sandwiches – lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, peppers, avocado or have a salad sandwich.
  • For a sweet-tooth attack, snack on some delicious dried fruit instead of crisps and chocolate.
  • Have a banana sandwich
  • Add sliced fruit5 to your breakfast cereal or yoghurts.
  • Drink fresh fruit juice with your breakfast.
  • Have some fun and make homemade smoothies.
  • Aim for at least 3 portions of vegetables with your main meal.
  • Use the water used for boiling vegetables to make your gravy – it’ll recapture some of the lost nutrients and make your gravy taste even better.
